The Michigan Small Business Development Center is hosting two webinars designed to introduce business owners and advisors to employee ownership as an exit strategy for retiring owners.
This session will provide an overview of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which is the most prevalent employee ownership model in the United States. This session will explore the advantages and disadvantages of this type of structure. We will also highlight what makes a company a good candidate for an ESOP when a business owner is local to exit the business or incentivize the employees.
